Elders serve our Church by leading it!
God has raised up these six godly and mature Christian men who were elected and ordained by our Church in 2009. They meet monthly for devotion, prayer, discussion, vision, strategy, planning, and fellowship.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
Ron Eagan - Administration and Facilities
David Senseney - Fellowship
Lanny Faulkner - Pastor-Teacher, Discipleship and Education
Bill Fleming - Moderator, Worship
Jim Wilson - Formerly our Chairman of Deacons, Jim was elected to serve as our Elder of Evangelism, replacing Matt Voyles who moved to Indiana.
Andy Appleby - Formerly one of our Deacons, Andy was elected to serve as our Elder of Ministry at a Member's Meeting on October 16th 2011. He replaces Bob Eads who passed away on June 1st, 2011.
Jim and Andy will be ordained as Elders at our Church on Sunday, January 29th, 2012.

Email LannyPastor Lanny's usual office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4pm. He makes Member and Prospect visits some weekday afternoons and on two Saturdays each month. He has served as our Pastor-Teacher since April, 2007. He also serves as the Chairman of our Elders. He and his wife, Lin, have been married for forty years and they have three adult children, four grandsons, and two step-granddaughters. He served eight years in the Air Force and is a Viet Nam Veteran. He is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University, Covington Seminary, and he earned his PhD from Louisiana Baptist University in Shreveport. He has previously pastored churches in Georgia, Arkansas, and Waukegan Illinois. From 1994 until 2010, he served as the Associational Missionary for Central Baptist Association in Decatur, IL.
He has been blessed by the Lord to serve as President of the Illinois Baptist State Pastor's Conference, President of the Illinois Baptist State Fellowship of Directors of Missions, and has conducted over one-hundred and twenty revivals and conferences in Illinois. He served as our Pastor-Teacher bi-vocationally for three and one half years, and began his full-time ministry here in October, 2010.
Email CharlotteCharlotte Kleiss has served as our Ministry Assistant since June, 2008. She serves every year in Vacation Bible School; and, she also serves as our Church Clerk!
Charlotte is in the Church Office from 10am to 3pm Monday through Thursday.
Charlotte is our "go to" person for any information or ministry assistance you might need! You may stop by the church office during office hours, or you may call (217) 578-2555.
Shari is the wife of Bill Fleming and the daughter of Charlotte Kleiss! She is the Secretary at Atwood-Hammond High School. She serves as our Treasurer and in several other ministries in our Church!
At this time, the position of Church Custodian is vacant. Please pray that the Lord will lead our Elders as they seek to find His will for the next person to serve us in this position.
Special thanks to our faithful members who are volunteering and doing such a wonderful job cleaning the Lord's House during this time of transition.
