Those of us who attend First Baptist Church in Atwood, Illinois, have a lot in common with you. We are sinners who struggle everyday to live in a way that is pleasing to God. As the Apostle Paul wrote in the Bible, we very much want to do what is right; but, we often do not do what is right. And, while we do not want to do things that God says are wrong, we very often do wrong things!

We have given up on changing ourselves and we are trusting Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and transform us into the kind of people He wants us to be! We have found that we cannot do this without God's help. It is by God's grace, and only by God's grace, that we have been forgiven and have any hope of finding peace with God and being changed for the better.
